The Warehouse originally wanted to shoot a girl in a red studio then digitally animate a sparkle effect. We thought it would be nice to push the idea further by shooting the girl with her family in your typical Kiwi backyard. So we did a test shoot and the client liked what they saw – including the girl we found. We did everything from shoot through to dispatch including the directing, art direction, talent, wardrobe, VFX and animation. We then edited all the footage down to a series of TVCs. Once the offline edits were signed off, we added the sparkles effects using CGI, dropped in the graphics and dispatched the lot. Sales went up 28% and the campaign was repeated the next year.
