AJ Hackett wanted to get involved with the popular 360 video market on social media to help advertise their highest bungy jump in New Zealand - The Nevis. Their brief: Experience the beautiful scenery at the location while building intensity to the final moment first-hand. AJ Hackett is an iconic Kiwi brand and showing off the beautiful location was key. We used a custom built dual lens 360 camera in a 3D printed house to capture rich footage at the Nevis Playground. We then used a cloud service to push a custom made GearVR app that displayed the video from our studio in Auckland to their devices in the South Island. We went for a grungy/punk aesthetic popular with extreme sports and graded the footage in a style that slightly muted the colours and highlighted the grandeur of the location.
